Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home using a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to study in a here public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
